FINALLY

It seems like things are finally looking up for us! I got the job i wanted today with a pay raise! Mike got hired at another company this week wiht a pay raise!
It seems like a great start to the new year!! I am just elated today!!

we are meeting with the priest tomorrow about out "focus" test and to talk more about the ceremony!! Emailed my photographer to set up bridals and to make sure she has us down for our date! I really dont have anything else! Im so happy today nothing can really bring me down!

Christmas time!

Well its getting closer and closer to Christmas and even though I have bought all my gifts for everyone I'm still not ready! Mike and I will be going to his family for Christmas day for the first time- I am so use to going to my family on Christmas eve and Christmas day but it just was not possible this year with out working schedules! :( so we will be traveling down south the weekend after Christmas to see my family!

His back is doing alot better but since its getting colder he can feel it tensing up a bit more!

I had a job interview a few weeks ago and got called back for a second last week so I should be hearing something from that soon! That would help so much!

Found out that my aunts want to give me another bridal shower down south so that my family can attend! But i will still have one up here for my friends!

My mom and I went shopping this weekend in search of brooches for my girls for their sashes and mission accomplished! now i know they are technically for hair but we will tweak them and they will be perfect! got the shoes picked out for the girls! check!

I am currently waiting on a sample of the invites i picked out to come in the mail so i can order those! Picked out a place to have the rehearsal dinner!

Long time!

I know i have posted in a while but oh well thats how life goes! Mikes back is finally almost fixed which is wonderful news! Poor thing thats all he wanted for christmas this year.

I am currently working on my escort cards! I have came up with a few options to go along with my Damask-ish theme with the teal but im really afraid to put color on them, i will be printing them my self and my printer is not the best in the world! here are a few samples of them!

I am also going to start working on my table boards after thanksgiving- cooking too much food to worry about anything else!

So everything wedding wise is coming along I guess. I keep getting frustrated with everything and always want to give up but I always talk my self out of it!

Bridesmaids are getting their dresses ordered -we registered for everything this weekend which was super fun!! totally going to keep adding to them!! I'm getting my save the dates out (or trying to) and as always I'm getting side tracked because I'm constantly on 4-09 board!!

anyways I'm off to try and dye my petti-coat and address some more save the dates!!

Finally!!

So I'm so excited i finally get to see mike today! i know it really haven't even been a week yet but it sure feels like it! I am going down to Waco right after work, we are going to a nice dinner tonight just the two of us! Its going to suck, after this weekend i wont be able to see him for a while because next weekend I'm going to San Diego. I'm excited about going to San Diego but i really wish he could come too!

I have a job interview Monday in Waco and Mike might have a job interview up here Tuesday we will see. I Hope that he will be able to get a great job back up here so that i wont have to move down there and change our whole lives, but i am willing to follow him everywhere he needs to be!

Day from hell

OK, so not only am i stuck in fort worth without mike but i get up this morning and go to our bank ( my mom manages it) to deposit a check and i go back out to my car and its DEAD! like wont even lock... We jump start it and start heading down the road to take it to the dealership to get a new battery and thankfully my mom is following behind me because we get about 2 miles and my car starts to die right there on the highway. I was so scared I thought for sure someone was gonna hit me. Thank God I somehow managed to exit it real fast and pull into a gas station. I kept the car running and started going the back way to the dealership and finally got there and got that taken care and it was my battery.
so here I am stranded at work without a car, good thing the dealership has a shuttle service. I just hate relying on other people for rides and such. I really want a new car, i know that my car is not old at all but i just 40k miles and it just seems like its falling apart!

on the wedding front i am planning to go to hobby lobby tonight and get some rhinestones to put on the bottom of my shoes for the wedding I'm doing our initials and then also before the wedding I'm going to have my girls sign my shoes too!
I am going to get a custom made clay topper for the grooms cake and he doesn't know about it yet! I'm super excited about that, one of the knotties (sphinxy) just got hers and it inspired me to get one made as well!!

Being away

So this week has been really hard so far, Mike has moved to Waco for a new job and since we have been dating i have never been apart from him for more than 2 days if that! I knew it wasn't going to be easy but i didn't think i would be this crazy!

The wedding planning is slowly but surely getting there, i have the new planning bio up and i have purchased alot of things so its going. We went and tasted cakes last weekend at Delicious Cakes in southlake and i have to say it was a wonderful experience. We are still going to look around just to see what is out there and then make our decisions. We have picked out the flower girl dress now all we have to do is take the flower girl to the store for her to try it on, I'm a little worried because its still 7 months away and i know she is going to grow, shes only 3.
since mike is out of town during the week now i think it will make me kick my butt into wedding gear. Maybe go register or get some DIY stuff done, I'm not sure!
